Read me first.....


Welcome badminton players. 

The Calgary-based FCR Badminton Club encourages drop-in players to attend although prior arrangements must be made through the club email reservation system.  

The drop-in procedure is as follows. 
  1. Send us your drop-in request by email (fcrnsa@hotmail.com). We can handle multiple dates up to three months in advance of the date you wish to play. 
  2. Check this blog up to one hour prior to game time to see if you have secured a drop-in spot.  If you do receive a spot your name will be posted on the blog for that date and you will receive an e-mail message confirming the reservation. 
  3. Drop-in players who come to the club without a reservation may be turned away (there is a high demand for spots).

We're different:

1) Drop-in players must register by email.  The email reservation system ensures that we don't have too many and never have too few players in attendance. 

2) On occasion we host a "Racquet Trial Night".  On such evenings, badminton vendors provide racquets for players to "demo". 

3) The FCR Badminton Club owns an automated shot simulator called the Knight Trainer. 

4) Each year the club hosts an adult badminton tournament .  More than 60 participants from Calgary and area compete for prizes in this event. 

5) Drop-in players and club members are kept in the loop via this blog.
